Boro Club

What is it:

A social opportunity to get together and learn more about torch working borosilicate glass. Each club meeting will include some instruction and guided torch time. You will try out new techniques and have your questions answered. It is time to get behind the flame with your peers and make exciting creations. There will be some show-n-tell as well as demonstrations.

It's like a class, but more social. It's all about community and fostering education in borosilicate glass.

How much does it cost:

The meetings cost $50 per person

Boro Club Meetings will happen the first Tuesday of every month from 6-9pm

- includes 2 hours of torch time

- private instruction from Leah Pellegrini

- anyone renting torch time during the Boro Club meetings will have to pay the $50 fee regardless of if they are in the club (that is if there is an open torch for them to rent)

- preregistration for the meetings is encouraged, that way we know how many people are coming, call the shop in advance to reserve a torch!

All club members are encouraged to use the FaceBook Group page to discuss their interests, show pictures of their current projects and get inspiration for future projects. Each club meeting will be focused on what the group has shown interest in. We use this FaceBook page to make the discussion accessible all month long, and the monthly meetings to offer continuing education.

Join the fun! All levels of experience are welcome. The only requirement is that you have taken at least an Introductory Borosilicate class and you have a keen interest in torch working borosilicate glass. Come join the fun and challenge yourself.

The monthly Boro Club meetings will have a max capacity of 8 people (because there are 8 torches available, that way everyone gets their own torch) but participation in the club (as in getting involved with the group online) is limitless in size. If there is more demand for meetings, we will schedule more!
