19" Sink Master Mold
The results were good from our
first slump. We were able to slump in a single firing. The glass
slumped straight down and came out satisfactory in every
respect.
Glass fused:
1 - 19" round Uroboros transparent
2 - 19" round Uroboros opal
After slump:
17 3/8" round 4" deep
Kiln used:
Jen-Ken oval with side and top
firing elements
We also kiln washed the mold
because the glass slides down the sides of the mold.

Bullseye has some good tech notes on the annealing.
2nd Slump
Our second slump was conducted
exactly as our first sink slump except we used 4 sheets of
glass. We used the same kiln and firing schedule.
The only difference we would make
is holding for a longer period of time at 1,200 degrees. We held
at 8 minutes so the next time we will go for ten minutes.
We tried to drill the glass with a
diamond bit hole saw. Big mistake. The sinks broke every time...
We discovered sandblasting the hole. I have spoke to a couple of
people who can cut a hole without issue.
19" Sink Master Mold 5 layer
Glass fused:
1 - Top Clear - 18 3/4" round
2 - Clear Irid - Irid down - 18
5/8" round
3 - Turquoise - 18 3/4" round
4 - Turquoise - 18 7/8" round
5 - Turquoise Irid down - 19"
round
Kiln used:
Jen-Ken round with side and top
firing elements
We also kiln washed the mold
because the glass slides down the sides of the mold and we want
the best chance of success with this many layers of glass.
